The end of the year is here, and that means it’s resolution time! December 31st of 2017, I created a list of five resolutions that I wanted to accomplish during 2018. Let’s take a look and see how I did!
If you would like to see me talk about these in person, you can watch my YouTube video HERE!
New Year’s Resolutions for 2018:
- Give a talk for The Scavenger
I did give a talk about The Scavenger! When I had my book signing at Barnes & Noble, I actually hosted a Q&A. Then, when I finished with my questions, the other YA authors asked me some questions. You can watch clips of the event from my vlog, HERE.
- Attend an Author Event
I attended multiple author events this year! That includes Bookcon, the Barnes & Noble signings as well as some various craft-fair and local signings. If you weren’t able to make them, I added a bunch of photos HERE.
- Complete outline for ‘Rose Petals’
‘Rose Petals’ was the original title for my second book, which is now officially Missing Her! To check out the full blurb for the book, click HERE!
- Write the first draft for new manuscript
I easily completed this task. Missing Her is actually with Betas right now, meaning I got a lot further than just a first draft.
- Host a giveaway
This was the only one I wasn’t able to complete this year. I had everything set-up to do a giveaway, but I just wasn’t able to put it together in time. I definitely plan on doing one in the future, though, so if you don’t have my social media on notifications, you should!
⅘ ain’t bad! Now, let’s see what my resolutions for 2019 are . . .
New Year’s Resolutions for 2019:
- Launch Missing Her
As of now, this is looking very doable. My goal is to launch it in spring of 2019, so I’ll keep you guys updated!
- Draft next book
This might not get done until Nanowrimo of next year in November, but we’ll see what happens! There are a few ideas bouncing around in the back of my head — it’s just a question of what sticks.
- Attend an author event/con
I’m already set to attend BookCon again in June of 2019, but I definitely plan on doing some author events (big and small) as well!
- Host a giveaway
This is most likely going to happen during the release blitz of Missing Her, so be sure to keep an eye out!
- Host a live stream
Now, this can either be on YouTube or Instagram. I’ve never done one before, so I’m not sure how it works, but we’ll see what happens.
Alright, that’s all I got! We’ll see how many of these actually get done. I hope all of you had an awesome 2018! I look forward to an exciting new year 🙂
Just keep writing, just keep writing . . .
